Joy For Unemployed teachers as Budget Allocates Education sector Money For Deployment Of teachers

The outbreak led to closure of learning institutions for nine months. Out of the allocation, Treasury CS Ukur Yattani said Sh12 billion will cater for free primary education, Sh2.5 billion for recruitment of teachers and Sh62.2 billion for free day- secondary education including insurance for learners.

The Sh202.8 billion set aside for the education sector in the 2021-22 Budget will help support recovery programmes following lost time since the outbreak of Covid-19 in the country in March 2020.

The outbreak led to closure of learning institutions for nine months.

Out of the allocation, Treasury CS Ukur Yattani said Sh12 billion will cater for free primary education, Sh2.5 billion for recruitment of teachers and Sh62.2 billion for free day- secondary education including insurance for learners.

CS Yatani has read the bill at the National Assembly buildings where government lawmakers representing different constituencies graced the event.

 

 

It’s good news to the education and health sectors as the Treasury has allocated them enough amount of money to sustain them. The health sector has been awarded enough money to hire 5000 diploma and certificate trained health personnel who will be deployed in various parts of the health centers across the country.

Education sector has also not been left behind as CS Yatani has disclosed that enough amount of money has been set to procure enough desks for the students and recruitment of intern teachers.
