12th Presidential Address on COVID 19 Speech Key Highlights
✅ Nationwide curfew is extended for a further 60 days
✅ Curfew to begin at 11:00pm and end at 4:00am.
✅ Closing time of eateries and restaurants is 10:00pm from 9:00 pm with effect from 29th September 2020
✅ Permitted maximum size of religious gathering is restricted to 1/3 of the normal sitting capacity.
✅ Maximum number of those attending funerals and weddings has been increased from 100 to 200 people.
✅ Learning institutions to reopen after consultations with Education CS who will issue a calendar on the resumption of the 2020 academic year.
✅ National Treasury to retain 14% VAT until July 2021
✅ Residence Income tax at 25%
✅ Ban on sale of alchohol in bars has been lifted effective 29 September 2020.
✅ Covid 19 Positivity rate is 4.4%
