Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha has said the school calendar will not be changed following Covid-19 restrictions.
“On the school calendar, I am leaping forward and hoping that since it looks like the Covid-19 pandemic curve is starting to flatten, there maybe no need for now to summon education stakeholders to look afresh at the time table,” said Magoha in Kiambu town on Monday while inspecting opening of exams.
The CS said that the timetable remains as it had been decided earlier in the year and the school children will report as it had been decided.
“By the grace of God the children will come to school the time we said they should come to school,” said Magoha.
He said that the results of KCPE exams will be ready within two weeks as announced earlier.
“Preparation for marking this particular set of exams is at a very advanced stage,” said Magoha.
