Big Reap for Primary Teachers with Diploma Upgrade Certificates in July TSC Recruitment. The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) announced 20,000 opportunities for student teaching posts on Wednesday, July 5. There were 2,000 positions in elementary schools and 18,000 openings in junior secondary schools.
According to the job posting from the commission, the interns will be distributed throughout 47 counties, with 758 intern teachers being placed in Kitui County.
Students in junior secondary schools would earn Ksh20,000 per month, while those in primary schools will receive Ksh15,000.
The 12-month internship will take place during the fiscal year 2023–2024.
It intends to place registered instructors who are unemployed in educational institutions where they will receive coaching, mentoring, and exposure to actual teaching scenarios to help them become better teachers.

How to Apply
All interested applicants were required to submit their applications online using the Careers link on the tsc.go.ke official website or by visiting teachersonline.tsc.go.ke.
The commission told all applicants that no manual submission would be considered.
A few of the requirements for JSS interns are as follows:
One must be a citizen of Kenya.
A diploma in education is necessary, or at the very least the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KSCE) or its equivalent, with a minimum mean grade of C+ (plus) and C+ (plus) in two teaching topics.
A registered instructor with the Teachers Service Commission is required.
However, the following are the requirements for primary school teacher interns:
One must be a citizen of Kenya.
There must be a P1 certificate holder.
The TSC must be registered with.
According to TSC, teachers who have an Upgrade Diploma in Primary Teacher Education (CBC) will have an edge.
All chosen candidates will be required to have Personal Accident Insurance to cover personal risks throughout the internship time.
A few of the required documents include the National Identity Card or passport, the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) card, the Kenya Revenue Authority Personal Identification Number (KRA PIN), and two colored passport-size pictures.
Candidates should also, if appropriate, include a copy of the National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD).
TSC emphasized the openness and fairness of the application process and warned prospective applicants to be wary of con artists’ ploys.
Furthermore, according to the Teachers Service Commission, “Any fraudulent activity should be reported to the nearest TSC office, Teachers Service Commission headquarters, or the nearest police station.”
All submissions must be submitted by July 18, 2023.
