Details about Muthale Girls high school:
Muthale Girls’ High School is a girls’ boarding secondary school in Kitui County. It is the only national school (after Kitui School) in the county after it was elevated to national school status in the year 2011. The school is located along Kitui-Mwingi road in hilly terrain of Mutonguni and borders Muthale Mission Hospital. The school has a high population sue to its excellent  performance. It is one of the best performing schools in Kenya.

       History
The school was established by the Franciscan Sisters for Africa in 1970. The Franciscan Sisters had founded Muthale Mission Hospital in 1948.The school started as mixed day school before changing to girls school the same year it was founded.

MUTHALE GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL’S FORM ONE SELECTION CRITERIA & ADMISSIONS

Being a public school, form one admissions are done by the Ministry of Education. Vacancies are available on competitive basis. Those seeking admissions can though directly contact the school or pay a visit for further guidelines.

MUTHALE GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL’S KCSE PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS

The school has maintained a good run in performance at the Kenya National Examinations Council, KNEC, exams. In 2018’s KCSE exam results, the school had a mean score of 7.913, while in the 2019 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KCSE, exams the school featured in the list of top 200 schools nationally. This is after recording a mean score of 8.102 (B- minus).
