Moi Tea Girls School Description
Moi Tea Girls School is a Girls boarding school, located in Kapsuser location, Kericho County. The School was started in 1996 by the Kenya Tea Growers Association (KTGA) through the initiative of the second President of the Republic of Kenya, Hon. Daniel Arap Moi as part of his strategy to expand educational facilities for the girl-child.
The first admission took place on February 1996 and in 1999 the first group sat for Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).KTGA donated most of the land and funded all the infrastructure in the school as outlined below to the tune of approximately 165 million shillings.

-GirlsHostels for 426 students,
-Water supply system
-A standby generator.
Much of the arable land is used in the production of vegetables, maize, potatoes, and milk to subsidize boarding requirements.
The school is now moving into a three streamed school, with 426 students, 18 teachers, and 18 support staff; in response to the stakeholders’ recognition of the need to increase access and meet the ever-growing demand for expansion.
This dream is in the process of being realized, parents have put up a just completed 4 classrooms complete with ablutions and Kenya Tea Growers association is undertaking a 25.5 million dormitory project.
The academic performance has progressively risen and at its peak with time.
