TSC Teachers to Receive Salaries Next Week. The Teachers Service Commission anticipates paying all teachers their June salaries as early as next Wednesday. On June 15, which is a Thursday, the national budget for the fiscal year 2023–2024 is scheduled to be read.
Since the beginning of time, teachers have received their paychecks in June before June 20th. The reading of the national budget takes place at this time of year every year, and salaries are typically paid one day earlier.
Prior to the beginning of the following fiscal year, the instructors Service Commission has always established it as standard practice to pay instructors their salary in advance. The fiscal year 2022–2023 will formally end after the budget is read.
Many teachers may count on receiving their unpaid wages the next week. The JSS instructors who have not yet received their full salary will be the first group to gain. Despite working for the past five months, the majority of JSS teachers have only received one payment.

The P1 teachers, who were also sent to manage JSS at the beginning of the year, make up the other group. Only a small percentage of PTE teachers have kept their compensation. The salary has only ever been made once, and that time it was made without the arrears. Next week, all of these teachers will receive their full wage.
The commission would also reimburse some teachers’ arrears who were promoted from one job group to another. For example, many instructors who were promoted from job category B5 to C1 have not received their full pay.
TSC asked for a total of 74 billion in the forthcoming budget, which will be used to cover teacher recruiting efforts over the next five years. According to TSC, the sum will be adequate to hire 111,870 instructors to close the shortfall.
