Procedure on how to check for the university and course placement for 2020/2021 intake

Now that the second revision of courses has been completed, successful students are required to know the universities that have granted them an opportunity..

Second reversion was to be completed on The fifteenth of this month, April. Hence the students who qualified should be waiting for their admission letters either online or by posts.

 When the letters are available, the students always get a notification message in their handsets that informs them on where to acquire the letters.

All students are hence suppossed to be familiar with the procedure of checking the university they have been placed to.

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has completed the process of placing candidates who had applied for different courses after the first and second revision were done. The 2019 KCSE Candidates are expected to be admitted to different higher institution of learning for the 2020/2021 September Intake.

Parents can start raising school fees by checking where their sons and daughter have been admitted or selected  to join by following the guide below;

NOTE: This procedure is only applicable for students who have been admitted for government sponsored programmes (formerly known as JAB students).

How to Check Course and University admitted to online

  • Visit: http://students.kuccps.net/
  • Login with your details as follows;
  • Username: (Use your full Index Number)
  • Year: (2019)
  • Password: (Use your Birth Certificate Number)

After login you should  see the university that you have been placed to.

 You will also receive an sms of the university you  have been placed by latest 16th April 2020

  •  Details of the course and university you have been  placed after second revision will be available on the kuccps portal latest 16th April 2020.
  •  From May 1, 2020, kuccps student portal will be open for students who wish to transfer their placement.

Your admission letter will be sent either July or August. However, most institutions like Moi University, University of Nairobi, Kenyatta University, Maseno University do not send admission letters via posta. You will just have to download them online.

  1. How true is this information.because it is 3 days after the date you have posted and no message has come yet.i qualified provisionally in the first revision…I happen not to trust this info.please verify on it’s validity.
